Arizona@Work 

Is the statewide workforce development network that helps employers of all sizes and types recruit, develop and retain the best employees for their needs at no charge. For job seekers throughout the state, Arizona@Work provides services and resources to pursue employment opportunities. Arizona@Work will advertise your company’s job openings locally or nationally, will assist with small and large scale recruiting and provide space for on-site interviewing. They will match candidates to your job openings and refer those who meet your requirements, and provide space and marketing for a job fair. Arizona@Work also offers on-the-job training reimbursements for eligible participants, assistance with developing unique training programs and referrals to existing resources.

The Arizona Commerce Authority

Provides resources for companies looking to start up, locate and grow in Arizona. ACA administers state level incentive programs such as the Quality Jobs, Qualified Facility, and Research and Development tax credit programs. Programs such as the Arizona Innovation Challenge, Arizona Fast Grant, and Venture Madness provide funding opportunities for technology companies. And the Small Business Services program provides information on business licensing and statewide resources for developing companies – the Checklist program gives businesses a chance to customize the resource to provide the information they need. Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC)

Is a statewide community development corporation (CDC), committed to building stronger, healthier communities as a lead advocate, coalition builder and direct service provider. CPLC promotes positive change and self-sufficiency to enhance the quality of life for the benefit of those we serve.

The economic development division provides business lending, commercial development, neighborhood revitalization, and financial empowerment.
Prestamos, a community development financial institution (CDFI) and a wholly owned CPLC subsidiary, provides economic opportunities for small and emerging businesses in Arizona. The program does so by offering business loans along with technical assistance to a state-wide constituency, however, the program focuses on serving minority and women-owned businesses. In addition, Prestamos has administered the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Micro-loan Program since its inception in 1991 and was recently awarded fifteen million dollars in New Market Tax Credits through the CDFI Fund. By helping small business succeed Prestamos is ensuring the economic success of communities throughout the state.

The Glendale Chamber of Commerce

The Glendale Chamber serves the business community as the voice of commerce, provides programs and services to improve the economic environment for its members and supplies leadership for improving the quality of life. Glendale Community College (GCC)

Glendale Community College (GCC) works with local employers to provide a pipeline of qualified employees and offers training programs relevant to an employer’s needs. GCC educates over 30,000 students per year and is a part of the largest community college district in the United States. GCC offers 44 associates degrees, university transfer programs, 65 certificates, and industry specific training programs. Glendale IDEA Center

Located at the Glendale Public Library main branch, the Glendale IDEA (Innovation Development and Entrepreneur Assistance) Center is a partnership between the City of Glendale and Arizona State University’s Entrepreneurial Outreach Network. The Entrepreneurship Outreach Network is a collaborative network of libraries and economic development organizations that support entrepreneurs and small business owners in their communities across the country. The collaborators in the Network provide community members with access to continuing education in entrepreneurship, mentors, service providers, and other community-based resources for current and aspiring small-business owners.

Raza Development Fund (RDF)

Raza Development Fund (RDF) invests capital and creates solutions to increase opportunities for the Latino community and low-income families. With a focus on lending capital, RDF helps tailor project loans with community leaders and organizations that concentrate their efforts on underserved communities. START @West-MEC is a business incubation and collaboration space, providing startups with much needed resources to improve their viability. Small Business Development Center

The Small Business Development Center is a joint program of the Maricopa Community Colleges District and the Small Business Administration. The center provides one-on-one counseling to small business owners.
The organization’s mission is to give small business the support it needs to grow and succeed through its management assistance program. The organization provides free support services that include assistance in start-ups and acquisitions, sources of capital, marketing and sales, government procurement, accounting, financial management, graphics and printing, inventory control, research and development, personnel issues, international trade, business plans and liquidation sales.
